Why choose our decoys?

Paper wasps are naturally territorial and highly visual. They want the best nesting spot with the least competition, and they will go to great lengths to avoid a "turf war" with another colony.

The "No Trespassing" Sign: When a scout queen sees a decoy, her instincts tell her the area is already claimed. To avoid a violent confrontation over food and space, she will simply move on to find a safer, unoccupied location.

  • A Natural Buffer: In the wild, paper wasps typically avoid building within 200 feet of an established rival nest. Our decoys trick them into respecting your porch, pool, play area, or patio as "occupied territory."
  • Chemical-Free Defense: Instead of killing wasps with toxic sprays, decoys use their own natural behavior against them—preventing the problem before a single nest is even started. Avoid the chemicals and use safe kid and pet safe alternative.
  • Pro Tip: For the best results, hang your decoy in early spring before new queens begin building. If they haven't settled yet, they are much easier to discourage.
